From “Cooking with Cherries From the Prairies”
- 5 large apples
- 1 ½ cups of Everyday Farms Frozen Tart Cherries
- ¼ cup water
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp butter
Peel, core and dice apples. Place all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 20 minutes. Apples should be tender and sauce thickened when done.
